Why coverage is planned, not picked

A serious vehicle deserves more than a generic full-front package.

Two cars of the same model can need very different protection. We look at the vehicle and how you own it before recommending a single panel.

STEK warranty

10years, DYNOshield
12years with STEK Final Coat

Covers yellowing, bubbling, delamination and cracking. Every installation is registered with STEK, and you can look up your warranty on STEK's site by warranty ID, plate or VIN. Rock chips and impact damage are not covered by any film warranty.

Coverage

Full-vehicle means more than hood, fenders and bumper.

A full-vehicle plan is built in three layers. What goes into yours is agreed during the consultation, panel by panel.

Painted surfaces

  • Hood and front bumper
  • Front fenders and doors
  • Rear quarters and rear bumper
  • Trunk or hatch
  • Roof and A-pillars
  • Rocker panels and side skirts

High-impact details

  • Behind the front wheels
  • Rear quarter impact zones
  • Door edges and door cups
  • Trunk openings and loading areas
  • Vulnerable lower panels

Specialty surfaces

  • Gloss black trim
  • Carbon fiber
  • Painted aero parts
  • Mirror caps and spoilers
  • Splitters and other gloss surfaces

Specialty surfaces are evaluated one by one. Some plastics, textured trim and carbon fiber parts aren't suitable for film, and we'll tell you which before anything is quoted.

The installation

What you're paying for is the work.

The film is one part of the project. Most of the time goes into preparation, patterning and finishing, and that's where full-vehicle installs succeed or fail.

Preparation

Full decontamination and paint prep before any film is cut. Correction first if the paint needs it.

Patterns

Vehicle-specific patterns from STEK's EDGE software, modified where the car calls for it.

Edges

Edges are tucked where the panel allows, with as few visible seams as the vehicle's construction permits.

Complex contours

Bumpers, intakes and sensor areas get the time they need. Trim and emblems are handled with care.

Inspection

Every panel is checked under side lighting for dust, lifting and finish before delivery.

Documentation

Photos, coverage areas and products are recorded and your warranty is registered with STEK.

Coverage and edge finishing are planned around the vehicle's actual construction and what can be physically achieved without compromising the installation.

The process

Inspection first. Pricing after.

Estimates for DYNOshield projects are given in person, after we've seen the car.

  1. 01

    Consultation

Bring the car to the studio. We inspect the paint under proper lighting and talk through how you drive and keep it.

  2. 02

    See it first

We pull up your exact vehicle in STEK's software and review coverage and finish options before you decide.

  3. 03

    Written proposal

You get a proposal listing every panel, product and warranty term, with the price for your car.

  4. 04

    Installation

Preparation, patterning, installation and finishing over multiple days in the studio.

  5. 05

    Inspection

A final panel-by-panel check under inspection lighting before the car leaves.

  6. 06

    Delivery

Your STEK warranty is registered, and we walk you through care for the first days and beyond.

Optional

Ceramic over film

Ceramic coating doesn't replace PPF. It's an extra layer that can go over suitable film and the surfaces left uncovered. Coating options and how they affect your warranty are reviewed at your consultation.

PPF

Physical protection

A urethane layer between your paint and road debris, scratches and wear.

Ceramic

Surface protection

Water behavior, chemical resistance, easier washing and added depth to the finish.

Investment

Individually quoted after inspection.

$6,500 – $12,000+

Most full-vehicle DYNOshield projects fall in this range. Your price depends on the vehicle, its condition and the coverage we agree on, and is confirmed in a written proposal after the consultation.

Questions

Before you book

How long does a full-vehicle install take?

Full-vehicle projects take multiple days in the studio. Your timeline, drop-off and pick-up are confirmed in your proposal.

Will I see seams or edges?

Edges are tucked wherever the panel allows, and seams are kept to what the vehicle's construction requires. We show you where any edges or seams will sit before installation.

Does the warranty cover rock chips?

No. The STEK warranty covers the film itself: yellowing, bubbling, delamination and cracking. Impact damage isn't covered under any film warranty, which is why coverage planning matters.

Can my car's paint have existing chips or scratches?

Film protects going forward and can make existing defects more visible. If the paint needs correction, we'll recommend it before installation, and we'll ask for your OK on any repainted or damaged areas.

Can you film carbon fiber and gloss black trim?

Often, yes. Each part is evaluated on its own, because some trim, textured plastics and carbon finishes aren't suitable for film.

Can I see the result before committing?

Yes. At the consultation we bring up your exact vehicle in STEK's software and review coverage and finish options with you.

How do I check my warranty later?

Your installation is registered with STEK. You can look it up on STEK's website using your warranty ID, license plate or VIN.
